We've moved! A new scrap room!

It has been a busy year for our household and although I have been doing some creating, I have fallen behind in keeping up with my albums.

Perhaps the biggest push for me to get caught up has been our move to another home. I had a large craft area in our previous house - our new home has a smaller area and less storage facilities. So what have I done? I have culled, purged, donated and down-sized as well as actually keeping minimal storage units. Even though I still have too many things, I have a space that is more workable for me.

The room is actually a formal dining room but we prefer to have our meals in the family room.  Here are some photos of how I have set it up -
The closed door leads into our kitchen and family room, I have a small cube unit to the left of the door. Here is where I keep my mini albums, stamps, ink pads, some of my die cuts and some other small bits and pieces in the drawers. On the top is my Silhouette Cameo.

To the right of the door is a sewing cabinet with my Big Shot, filming/photographing stand and a set of filing drawers for A4 papers and personal files. Underneath is my sewing machine and overlocker.
My computer is on the desk, facing outside. I love to sit here and take in the ferns and greenery. My Picturemate printer and HP printer are kept here.
This is my craft desk, facing into our formal lounge and a nice garden view again. I have two trolleys, one on either side of the desk, as well as a drawer under my desk, where I keep the things I use regularly as well well as my basic tools. I have an overhead light and two lamps either side when working at night.
These are my main shelves - two Kallax units. I also have another trolley and a small cube unit at the end. All my papers and embellishments are kept here, as well as anything I may use.

It's small but it works for me.

I can never understand - even though I admire - the large, organised, colour-coded scrap/craft rooms I have pinned to my Pinterest board. Unless there is an inventory of all the items, how do people remember what they have in stock? How do they use all the items they have? How do the keep it so clean?

I have posted a couple of videos on my You Tube Channel - My Creating Place - of my Pocket Scrapbooking. A couple of flip throughs and also processes. I invite you to check them out and let me know what you think.

Until next time ...
